FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much space do I need ?

  • As a general guide, a 1.5m x 1.5m space holds the contents of one standard room.
  • A 3m x 3m space is ideal to store the contents of a small home or two bedroom apartment.
  • A 6m x 3m space is best suited to the larger home, business archive storing on shelving, tradesman's equipment and recreational equipment.
  • An efficiently packed small space will cost less than a larger space, however a well organised larger space may be more time efficient when retrieving goods.

Are my goods safe ?

  • Our facilities are well lit and have keypad security entry on access gates and back to base alarm systems.
  • Strathgrove Way has 24 hour surveillance cameras.
  • Dalton Street has electric perimeter fencing.
  • You hold the only key to your unit.
  • Whilst we have full insurance for our facilities, it is your responsibility to insure your own goods. Your goods are not covered by our insurance. Check with your insurance provider to confirm your cover has provision for items in storage.

Do you have any tips on packing my self storage unit ?

  • Plan your storage space
  • Think about what goods you will need most frequently and make sure there is good access to them.
  • We recommend leaving a small space around the perimeter of the storage unit to aid circulation.
  • The use of shelving can help your space stay organised and make the most of the height of the unit.
  • Store lighter items toward the top, heavier items down lower.
  • Never lay paintings or mirrors flat - ensure they are wrapped or placed in proper picture/mirror cartons.
  • Cover lounges, mattresses etc with plastic to protect against dust.

Is there anything I can't store ?

  • Goods that are hazardous, illegal, stolen, inflammable, explosive, environmentally harmful, perishable or that are a risk to the property of any person must not be stored in our storage facility.
  • This includes items like petrol tins, paint thinner, full gas bottles or chlorine.

How do I get started ?

  • Simply call 63 63 1000 or send us an enquiry via this website.
  • We only require 1 month rent, 1 month bond and a $15 lease fee to start your storage term.
